Overview - Cloud Softphone

With the Cloud software phone, take your PBX extension with you anywhere you go.
No individual installs, no individual updates, on the cloud and everywhere you go, all in one place.

Getting Started

Before you begin, ensure that you’ve created your extension in the VoIP Portal, www.voipportal.com.au.

To retrieve the details of an existing extension, or create a new extension, login to the VoIP Portal and select PBX Extensions or SIP Trunks from the menu, depending on your service type.

If you’re creating a new extension, click the Add Extension button, fill in the details and click Save.

For additional information on creating an extension, please see Portal Guide – PBX Extensions and Sip Trunks

Getting the QR Code

Login to the VoIP Portal and Navigate to PBX Extensions.

Find the extension number you’re configuring, then click Edit.

After clicking “Edit on your new extension, you will be presented with a popup menu like the one in the picture.

Scroll down to: “Cloud Softphone” and switch it to “ON“.

You should now see a QR Code.

Note: this option will only appear if there is no other device registering to the Extension.

If another device is connected to this extension, it will first need to be reconfigured or disconnected.

Open your Cloud Softphone App and tap on the Scan QR code Icon.

Then use your camera to scan the QR code shown to you.

Follow the prompts to log the app in.

Troubleshooting

Cloud Softphone requires certain permissions to function correctly, and may require some changes to your mobile phone settings. For information on these configuration changes, please see Cloud Softphone Troubleshooting

If you are having issues with Cloud Softphone not connecting to push server when app is closed on Android devices due to a complex network or firewall, the following link will help:
faq.cloudsoftphone.com/ip-sipis
Alternatively, if the firewall supports it, you can create a DNS group object to resolve all IPs for all.sipis.acrobits.cz
White listing this DNS group will allow the cloudsoftphone handoff to function correctly.

Manual Configuration

If you are unable to Scan the QR Code, You can manually enter the Cloud ID and Password.
