Overview - Adding SIP details to your Netcomm Modem.

Before you begin, ensure that you've created your extension in the VoIP Portal, www.voipportal.com.au.To retrieve the details of an existing extension, or create a new extension, login to the VoIP Portal and select SIP Trunks or PBX Extensions from the menu. If you're creating a new extension, click the Add Extension button, fill in the details and click Save

*Note: if the extension is already configured on a device, you'll need to reconfigure, power down or factory reset the currently connected device before the required information will be displayed.

Connecting your Phone to your router.

Before starting, make sure to connect your phone to your routers Phone port 1. Your router should be connected as follows in the diagram below:

Step 1:

Navigate to http://192.168.20.1 in a web browser, using “admin” as both username and password.

Step 2:

Select Phone from the left side menu and click on “Phone Line 1”

Enter the following details:

  • SIP Username: The username provided by TelTel (e.g. 09xxxxx)
  • SIP Password: The password provided by TelTel
  • Line Number: The phone number provided by TelTel (e.g. 0212345678)
 
DONT click on Save yet. Click on More Settings
 

Step 3:

You should have now clicked on “More Settings“. If you haven’t, do this now.

Enter in the following details:

  • SIP Proxy: voice.teltel.com.au
  • SIP Proxy Port: 5060
  • SIP Registrar: voice.teltel.com.au
  • SIP Registrar Port: 5060
  • SIP Outbound Proxy: Enable
  • SIP Outbound Proxy: voice.teltel.com.au
  • SIP Outbound Proxy Port: 5060

Click “Apply”

Allow about 30 seconds for the system to connect.

Once connected you should be able to make and receive calls from your TelTel VoIP Service
