Incoming numbers will be delivered to your SIP Trunk using E164 format. This is the international number format and looks like “61712345678” for the number 0712345678. eg: If someone calls your incoming phone number (DID) “0712345678”, your PBX will see the number as “61712345678” come in to your trunk.
Testing Incoming Numbers: All TelTel inbound numbers may be sent to our internal Echo Test in Number Management. If you have set your number to internal Echo Test and you hear our test service when dialing, this confirms the number is active and working.
International Calling:
International calling can be done in either E164 format on 0NSN format, TelTel will automatically detect the format you are using and route the call for you.
As a best practise if you need to configure your PBX for international calling we recommend prefixing all international calls with 0011 and sending it through to our network. This will avoid doubt as to whether a number is an international or local call for your system users.
