Grandstream WP820 Wi-Fi Phone Setup

The following guide shows you how to setup the GrandStream WP820 on the TelTel Network.

Connect the WP820 to your WIFI network

  • On the handset press Menu and navigate to Settings > Network Settings > Wi-Fi
  • Set Wi-Fi to On and then navigate to Wi-Fi settings and select it. A list of Wi-Fi networks will be displayed.
  • Select the desired network and enter the correct password to connect.

Accessing the phones web interface

  • On the headset press Menu and navigate to Status > Network status. Note the IPv4 address. (E.g. 192.168.xxx.xxx)
  • Navigate to the phone’s IP address in your PC web browser.
  • Use admin for the username and the password. The web interface will ask you to set a new password. Follow the instructions and save your password.

Configuring the phone extension

  • Using the IPv4 address you saved, type the address into your web browser, e.g. : 192.168.1.1 in the web browser top bar and press the enter key.
  • In the Phone’s web interface click Account > Account 1 > General Settings.
  • Complete the following fields in the phones web interface with the SIP login details for your extension, either provided to you in your welcome email or in your cloud PBX portal.

  • Click save at the bottom of the web interface.
  • Click the Apply button that appears at the top of the web interaface.
  • The phone will reboot and will display the extension number under the date and time. You can now place calls.
