What you need:

  • Login and use the TelTel VoIP Portal to get your extension details.
  • Have installed the 3CX on your PC
 

3CX Desktop Softphone App is our recommended Desktop app to replace the older WebRTC Client.

The first thing we need to do after creating an extension in the VoIP Portal is to Create a Profile and add the extension details into the 3CX app.

To do this follow the setups below:

If you dont have the App:

Step 1. Download the 3CX app www.3cx.com/voip/softphone

Scroll down till you see “Download the free softphone here”

Step 2. Once you have downloaded and Installed the 3CX softphone. Click “Create Profile” 

Step 3. Click New”

Step 4. Now to enter the New Extension Details found in the VoIP Portal:

  • Account Name: Extension Name
  • Caller ID: Extension Name
  • Extension: Register Username – 09*** Number
  • ID: Register Unsername – 09*** Number
  • Password: Password
  • PBX/SIP Server: pbx.teltel.com.au

Step 5. Click “OK”

Step 6. Now you are ready to start making and receiving calls.

PBX Customers: Creating a 3CX Desktop App Extension via VoIP Portal

First loginto the TelTel VoIP Portal.

Step 1: Add a new extension.

Click on “PBX Extensions” on the side menu, then simply click the Green “Add Extension” button.

Step 2: Choose an extension number.

Most items in this menu can be left alone. Simply enter in an extension number for your softphone. E.g. 304 and a name so you can identify it. E.g. “My Mobile Phone”

Then press “Add Extension

The extension will be added to your account and you should see it in your extension list now.

Step 3: Click on “Edit” next to your new extension.

Step 4: Get your 3CX Extension details 

After clicking “Edit on your new extension, you will be presented with a popup menu like the one in the picture

Use the following details to connect your new extension to the 3CX desktop Softphone app.

  • Name: The Extension Name
  • Register Username: 09****** Number
  • Password: Extension Password
  • PBX/SIP server Proxy: pbx.teltel.com.au
 

The app will now download the new configuration files and connect to the new platform.

Quick Setup Steps

Step 2. Once you have downloaded and Installed the 3CX softphone app. Click “Create Profile” 

Step 3. Click New”

Step 4. Now to enter the Extension Details and Click “OK”

Step 5. Click “OK”

Step 6. Now you are ready to start making and receiving calls.
