Before adding the SIP Trunk to 3CX, please make sure you have created an Extension in 3CX and added it to your Phone.
Before you start you will need 2 things. Your SIP username and your password.
You can get these from your Client Portal under “SIP users / accounts” -> “Manage SIP Users“
Your Username: This will look like 091234567878 (starts with 09)
Your Password: Your password can be revealed by clicking on the information icon next to the username.
Whenever we refer to USERNAME or PASSWORD these are the usernames and passwords we are referring too.
1. Login to your 3CX Installation and go to the SIP Trunks page. Click on the Add SIP Trunk button.
2. In the popup window, select/enter the following details, then click OK: – Select Country: Generic – Select Provider in your Country: Generic VoIP Provider – Main Trunk No: This can be the DID you purchased through TelTel
3. Enter the following details under the General tab: – Enter name for Trunk: Used to identify trunk (can be anything). – Registrar/Server/Gateway Hostname or IP: voice.teltel.com.au – Outbound Proxy: voice.teltel.com.au
– Type of Authentication: Register/Account based – Authentication ID: USERNAME – Authentication Password: PASSWORD
4. On the Caller ID tab you can Configure Outbound Caller ID. This will only change if you have multiple incoming numbers on your account.
5. Click on “Outbound Parameters” in the top row of tabs. Scroll down to From: User Part and change it too: “AuthID” authentication
6. Finally, to setup Inbound CallerID, we need to click on “Inbound Parameters” and set the settings as per the image below. “CallerNum” -> From: User Part and “CallerName”-> From: Display Name and “CalledNum”->To: User Part
7. Your all done. Click the blue OK button to save your changes. Your trunk is now setup
